Usui and Karuna®Reiki Certification Program
Amanda offers all the degrees for Certification in the Traditional Pure Usui Reiki System as well as all the Degrees of the Karuna Reiki® Certification System.
This program is offered in the Seattle Washington Area.
To make sure you are receiving Reiki training as taught traditionally it is very important to know your teacher's lineage.
Amanda is a Registered Master and Teacher with the International Association of Reiki Professionals and can register all her students with the Association after they complete their first degree in the Usui Reiki System.
She offers the highest standards of Reiki Training. Classes range in size from 4-10 students.
Amanda is also a Registered Karuna Reiki® Teacher and eligible to teach and Certify her students in the Karuna Reiki® System as taught in its completeness by the International Center for Reiki Training.
Amanda has studied Usui Reiki under Peggy Anderson, in accordance with the International Center for Reiki Training, who's teachers are all in the lineage of Mr.Mikao Usui. She completed her Usui Master studies in India.
For her Karuna Reiki® Certification, she has done her Masters Training twice. She studied under Indian Reiki Master Mamta K.V.
In the United States she received her training and all the Karuna Master attunements directly from William Lee Rand, founder of the Karuna Reiki® System and Director of the International Center for Reiki Training.
How to get Started
The MOST important decision that you need to make before you start your Reiki Training is the decision to embark on a personal fascinating journey of self healing.
Only when we find ourselves and create healing within our own thoughts, our lives and energy field, we can be whole enough to reach out to others from a place of compassion and with the consciousness that we are ALL connected and as healing are shared we make not only ourselves better, but we do it for the Highest good of ALL.
Anyone can learn how to do Reiki.
It is within ALL of us.
Your intention should be to help, to heal to love. Love yourself and be open to a transformation to take place in your life and also in the lives of the people you will treat with Reiki. Because Reiki is guided by Universal/God-consciousness, it can never do harm. It always knows what the person needs and creates the appropriate effect.
All Reiki Training and Certification Programs can be done at any time on a one-on-one basis. The price for private tuition is 30% more than the group class rate. This allows students with challenging schedules to do all or any of the programs offered at their convenience.
Usui Reiki Certification Program
Usui Reiki Certification Taught by Traditional Usui and Karuna Reiki Master and Teacher - approved by the International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP)
Usui Reiki I and II
Reiki I and II are taught together during a weekend intensive.
All attunements are given.

The class is a combination of lecture, discussion, in depth familiarizing with the symbols, short meditations, energy work and inspiring experiences of healing and connecting with oneself. Practice time includes giving and receiving a complete Reiki Treatment, practicing self treatment, using the Second degree symbols and practicing distant healing.
It also includes in addition to learning about the chakra system and the energy of the body an easy gentle yoga routine (optional) to all who wants to feel how energy physically moves through the spine and to also learn ways and ongoing methods to release stress and connecting with Universal Energy.
I teach Reiki I and II together.
The students leave the class with greater healing skills and ability and financially it is also much more affordable.
Some students are curious why Reiki I and II are taught together when some teachers insists they must be taught separately with a certain period of time between the training courses. William Lee Rand founder of the International Center for Reiki Training did research on this matter . He studied under Mrs. Yamaguchi in Japan, who had received her training directly from Dr. Hayashi, who is in the direct lineage of Dr. Usui. They taught Reiki I and II together. Thus traditionally it was taught together.However for those who feel guided to teach them separately, it is also possible and either way is fine.
I honor the traditional lineage and I use the International Center for Reiki Training manuals (REIKI the Healing Touch First and Second Degree Manual, by William Lee Rand), honoring a uniform standard for Usui Reiki training as well as inspiring training Material from the Joyful Healing Arts Center to make your training experience not only an in depth study of the Usui Reiki system, but also a journey of healing for yourself and others, to bring Joy and life energy into your daily activities and relationships, how to use Reiki to cope with stress, illness, emotional trauma and to understand the mysteries of true fulfillment and purpose in life.

In The Traditional Usui Masters teachings the name for the Master
Class in Japanese is Shinpiden , which means "Mystery Teaching"
The mystery refers to the mystery of our own path, consciousness
and existence.
Our life's journey becomes even more fascinating !!!
The effects are boundless and is never ending.
This class is a combination of lecture and practice. Over half
of the class time is used to practice the attunements. The student
becomes confident in giving Reiki attunements.
Students practices on each other, so many attunements are received
by each student at the end of the class. This class is a powerful
healing and hands on experience. A 62 page class manual from the
International Center for Reiki Training by Advanced Reiki Master
William Lee Rand is included that gives detailed steps for giving
all the attunements. This class enables the student to teach Reiki
if one chooses, but many take this class for their own personal use
and healing experience or to share it with friends and family.

Karuna Reiki® Certification Program

This is an advanced class and is taught only to students that has completed the Advanced Usui Reiki Training (ART) class.
Thus you do have to know the Usui Master symbol, but may not have completed the Usui Mastership class in order to do Karuna Reiki I
and II practitioner level. All students who finish their training will be registered with the International Center for Reiki Training and
will receive their certificates with the seal and registration number from the Center. The Karuna Reiki® program has recently
been upgraded.
The new program allows all participants to be connected more directly to the Center as a Registered Karuna Reiki® Practitioner
or Master. Once registered, your name will go into the data base of the International center for Reiki training.
When you finish the Masters Level and start to teach Karuna Reiki® to other practitioners, your student
certificates will come from the Center and your students will become registered with the Center also. This program is based on
the Centers minimum teaching standards and code of ethics.
These new standards improve the professional image of ALL who teach or practice Karuna Reiki® and create a more uniform level
of quality for the training. Whenever you advertise Karuna Reiki® people will know they can expect a quality class or healing
session.
The cost of registration includes a copy of the International Center for Reiki Training updated Karuna Reiki®
manual as well as your certificate with registration number with the Center. All Karuna Reiki® Training manuals are ordered from the
International Center for Reiki Training.

- Be in agreement with and working to fully express the Usui Ideals, the
Center Philosophy and the Center Purpose.
- To respect and value all Reiki practitioners and masters regardless of
lineage or organizational affiliation. To refrain from making negative
statements about other Reiki practitioners or masters.
- To actively be working to create harmony and friendly cooperation between
all Reiki practitioners and masters regardless of lineage or organizational
affiliation.
- To encourage all students to use their own inner guidance in deciding who
to receive Reiki treatments from or who to study Reiki with including the
possibility of studying with more than one teacher.
- To openly encourage all your clients and students to do the best job
possible with the Reiki program they are guided to use.
- Always work to empower your clients and students to heal themselves and
to encourage and assist them in the their personal growth as well as in the
development of their Reiki practice.
- Always treat your students and clients with the greatest respect. Never
engage in any illegal or immoral activity with your clients or students.
Never touch their pelvic area or breasts, never ask them to disrobe, and never
make sexual comments, jokes or references.
- Abstain from the use of drugs or alcohol during all professional activities.
- Practice Truth in Advertising. Be willing to openly discuss the subjects
covered in your Reiki classes, the fee that is charged, and the amount of time
spent in class with any prospective students. Ads should state what the
student will be able to do upon completion of the class.
- Never use another person's copy righted material in your classes without
permission and giving credit.
- Never misrepresent what you will be offering in your Reiki sessions and classes.
- Be open to the continuing process of enhancing your professional
qualifications, training, experience and skills.
- Be actively working on your own healing so as to embody and fully
express the essence of Reiki in everything you do.
- Educate the client regarding the value of Reiki and explain that it
does not guarantee a cure, and is not a substitute for medical or psychological
treatment.
- Acknowledge that Reiki works in conjunction with other forms of medical
or psychological care. If a client has a medical or psychological condition,
suggest in addition to giving them Reiki treatments, they see a health care
practitioner if they are not already seeing one.
- Never diagnose medical or psychological conditions or prescribe
medications. Never suggest that a client change or end dosages of substances
prescribed by other licensed health care providers or suggest the client
change prescribed treatment or interfere with the treatment of a licensed
health care provider.
